I am absolutely thrilled to be one of four artists selected to participate in the Intersect Portrait Project organised by the wonderful Sweet ‘ Art, to be held on 9th March 2019 at the Crabtree & Evelyn store in Islington.
This will be a collaborative live art event with three other artists - Shadi Mahsa, Odette Farrell and Susan Bryan. We will each spend a short time working on a portrait of a sitter, then move onto the next easel, thus creating an Intersectional portrait of each person. I am particularly fascinated by this project, as it ties in closely with my current body of work, investigating both the female gaze and the idea of a #rhizomaticportrait.
